The Best Wine Routes

Duration: approximately 6 hours

Meeting with our guide, who will accompany you throughout the day.

We will start with the first tasting of the day at a well-known winery, where the “sensorial tasting” will be carried out, guided through colors, aromas and flavors of the wine.

After the wine tasting we will proceed to Castagneto Carducci, with a visit to the Carducci museums and the tasting of local products.

Lunch in a farmhouse with local delicacies.

In the afternoon: visiting Bolgheri.

The ancient village of Bolgheri is located in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci (LI). It extends between the hills and the strip of sea bordered by San Vincenzo and Cecina, on that part of the Tuscan coast formerly dominated by the Etruscans, an area with an ancient wine tradition.

Starting from the 18th century the Count Della Gherardesca, who was the founder of the town built on the site of the ancient village and the castle which was destroyed in 1393, gave new impulse to the economic development of this area until it became one of the most fertile and most productive of the coast.

Bolgheri soon became one of the cornerstones of Tuscan wine production and a very important agricultural center.

The second tasting of the day will take place right in these fertile lands.

The tour will end late afternoon.
