Weekend in Tuscany: Pistoia, Pisa, Lucca and Vinci

The Tuscan city is the only one in our country included in the 2017 ranking, the year in which it became the Italian Capital of Culture.
It is the city of blues, of nurseries, of wonderful works of art and itineraries still unexplored, of good traditional cuisine and proximity to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena: for this reason Pistoia has been included in the must visit list of ten cities in the world, it is the only city in our country to have entered the top 10, together with Los Angeles and Bordeaux.
Duration: 3 days 2 nights
First day: Pistoia.
Arrival of the participants at the chosen structure is expected in the morning, you will be welcomed by our staff who will assist you this weekend. Our accommodations are mainly historical houses inserted in a context that will allow you to live an unforgettable “Experience”.
You will meet our guide, who will accompany you during your stay in Pistoia, where you will discover the history of this city with its artworks, the squares, the alleyways and the customs.
Participants will have lunch in a traditional restaurant, where they will taste the typical Tuscan cuisine, and continue in the afternoon with a visit around the city.
Back to the hotel.
The famous “Florentine steak” with a good bottle of Tuscan wine will be served for dinner in a typical farmhouse.
Overnight stay.
Second Day: Pisa and Lucca.
Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with our guide and departure for a tour of Pisa and Lucca with a private bus.
Lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon and preparation for the COOKING LESSON,
A friendly dinner among the participants, the tasting of the dishes prepared by the group will be an opportunity to share the experience.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Third Day: Vinci and Leonardo’s footsteps.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure in the morning for the small village of Vinci, which gave birth to the genius of all time: Leonardo.
Visit to the church that first welcomed the newborn Leonardo, to see the baptismal font where he was baptized in 1452.
It will be very interesting to see some of the inventions he carried out by visiting the museum located in the heart of the small village “The Leonardian Museum” Piazza Conti Guidi where we will find mechanical watches, construction machinery and much more.
Another stop inside the “Castello dei Conti Guidi” where in the museum we will find Leonardo’s machines, both examples of scientific and military engineering.
After a coffee break in the square where you can admire the wonderful hilly landscape typical of Tuscany, just a few minutes journey through olive groves characteristic of this land, we get to Anchiano to the house-museum that has reopened in 2012 and where we can listen to the biography of the artist and view him in the form of a hologram while he tells us his story .
We will continue our encounter with this artist by going to the house where Leonardo’s mother, Caterina was born.
Tasting of three wines produced by the farm overlooking a panoramic view of Vinci.
In the afternoon, participants will return to the hotel and prepare to go back to their original destination.
